This Yixing teapot is made from Qing Shui Ni clay, a "water-washed clay" and one of the most versatile varieties of Yixing clay. The author's interpretation of the classic Do Qiu ("falling ball") shape combines expressive design with perfectly balanced proportions.
The body of the teapot is shaped like a large sphere, the lid is medium-sized, and the lid button is compact. The interaction of the three spheres creates a harmonious rhythm and emphasizes the visual balance of the form. Handcrafted by master craftsman Chen Wenbo (陈文博).
The teapot is equipped with a classic 9-hole strainer, has slightly thicker-than-average walls, retains heat well, and is suitable for brewing Chinese tea for a large gathering.
An ideal choice if you are looking for a versatile Qing Shui Ni teapot.
Important:
- A new kettle should get used to the temperature in your room before use. Do not rinse the kettle with boiling water immediately after bringing your purchase from a frosty street.
- Do not wash earthenware kettles with strong-scented detergents. Clay teapots after tea drinking are simply rinsed with hot water, that's enough.
- Prepare the new kettle for brewing by rinsing with boiling water. And it is better to brew ordinary tea in it and leave it for a day, then pour it out - this way you will prepare the kettle for brewing real tea.
