Yixing clay teapot with side handle
Capacity - 240 ml.
Yixing teapot made of Duan Ni clay is made in the shape of Tang Yu, which translates as "Tang Feather". The shape of its body resembles the classic Xi Shi, but the unique wooden handle gives it a special feature. It is this handle, similar to a feather, that gave the name to the Tang Yu shape. Such teapots are often found in Japanese tea culture, where they are known as "kyusu" or "kyushu".
The teapot is equipped with a classic sieve with 9 holes. The walls are slightly thicker than usual, and the bottom is reinforced for better balance. The lid fits tightly and is perfectly adjusted. The teapot has a pleasant porous, silky texture.
This is a handmade product.
Important:
- A new kettle should get used to the temperature in your room before use. Do not rinse the kettle with boiling water immediately after bringing your purchase from a frosty street.
- Do not wash earthenware kettles with strong-scented detergents. Clay teapots after tea drinking are simply rinsed with hot water, that's enough.
- Prepare the new kettle for brewing by rinsing with boiling water. And it is better to brew ordinary tea in it and leave it for a day, then pour it out - this way you will prepare the kettle for brewing real tea.
