The form, called by the author "Yi Pian Wa", which can be translated as "Whole tile" or "Full tile", is a development of the classical "Han Wa" form, known as "Han tile".
A teapot with a wide neck is ideal for brewing loose, bulky tea. The wide spout ensures fast, smooth drainage. The nest-shaped strainer prevents tea leaves from getting into the spout.
The handle of the lid is decorated with beautiful carvings, the walls and lid of the teapot are carved in the form of hieroglyphs. Looks very stylish.
The teapot is made from Da Hong Pao red clay, one of the most popular in Yixing.
Important:
- A new kettle should get used to the temperature in your room before use. Do not rinse the kettle with boiling water immediately after bringing your purchase from a frosty street.
- Do not wash earthenware kettles with strong-scented detergents. Clay teapots after tea drinking are simply rinsed with hot water, that's enough.
- Prepare the new kettle for brewing by rinsing with boiling water. And it is better to brew ordinary tea in it and leave it for a day, then pour it out - this way you will prepare the kettle for brewing real tea.
