On the high rocky slopes of the mountain grows a rare plant Sagan-Daile, long known in folk medicine. Sagan Daylya (Sagan-Dali, Sakhan Dali, Sagaan-Daylya, Adams rhododendron, Sagan-Dayl, Dahl, white wing, white wings, fragrant wild rosemary) is an amazing herb that has long been used in Tibetan medicine. In Tibet, they say that Sagan-Dilya prolongs life, and they call this shrub the “White Wing”. Indeed, the dried leaves are densely covered with silvery fibers and resemble the feather of a bird.

Rhododendron is harvested from the beginning of summer to mid-autumn, until the slopes of the mountains are covered with a thick snow hat. The plant itself is very hardy, and at the end of summer the maximum amount of useful substances is concentrated in its aboveground part. So it is preparing for the long cold season, which is characterized by mountainous terrain. That is why the August gathering is the most valuable - all natural power is concentrated in it.

For the first time a decoction of the leaves Sagan Diley mentioned in his writings naturalist Gmelin. Members of his expedition drank Sagai Dail tea to recharge their batteries for the whole day. So the whole world learned about the Buryat miracle.

And the first detailed description of the sagan-daylya was made by another researcher of the Siberian expanses - I.O. Adams in the 19th century. It was in his honor that this plant was given the botanical name - Rhododendron Adams. Adams made his report at the Moscow Society of Naturalists.

This plant is the strongest energy stimulator, an order of magnitude more effective than the golden root, schisandra, ginseng. It is believed that one sheet is enough to charge the body with energy for the whole day.

The White Wing can lift the spirits and free the mind for flying. The shamans say that a “mountain spirit” dwells in the plant, helping to clear the mind. They used this miracle - the grass not only for recovery, but also for entering into a trance, for expanding the scope of perception of reality, for uniting with the forces of nature.

Even in the ancient writings of Tibetan monks belonging to the period before our era, the healing tea of Sagan Dayl was mentioned. It was prepared by monks, hunters and warriors to add strength, cope with fatigue and chase away sleep.

Legends

According to legend, the warriors returning with victory, stuck their spears into the slopes of the mountains to give power to the ground. After some time, a plant appeared in these places that could fill a person with strength and health.

Another legend common among Buryats is more romantic.

In the wee hours, the white eagle Sagan flew to the cliff. Turning around the young man, Sagan met beloved Dailu, the shepherd's daughter. The envious witch placed traps on the precipice, and Daile brought a treat with a sleepy potion. While Dailea slept soundly, Sagan, who had flown in again, landed in a trap. Having become an eagle and losing bloody feathers, he managed to get out of the tenacious teeth and disappeared. Awakening Dayla shed a lot of tears about what happened, and then, blaming herself for the death of her beloved, she stepped off the cliff ... and was picked up by white wings that carried her away. And in the places where the eagle feathers lay, a healing shrub grew, which was given the name by the name of lovers - Sagan Dayl.

But we leave aside the lyrical digression and proceed to the benefit.
