Bian Hu shaped teapot - Flat.
Volume - 200 ml.
Made from quality Duan Ni clay. One of the first geometric shapes of teapots, which became the prototype for many shape variations. It appeared at the end of the Ming era (at the beginning of the 17th century) in the workshop of the great Shi Da Bin. Since then, for the fifth hundred years now, this form has been reproduced by the hands of a variety of potters, each time repeating a little differently, bearing the signs of the times and the imprint of the master's personality.
The teapot is decorated with carvings depicting a squirrel on a branch of Albizia (Lankaran acacia or Silk tree).
In such a teapot, it is good to brew Da Hong Pao or mature Shen. The teapot's comfortable volume goes well with small earthenware bowls.
