Type of painting: Falantsay.
The Falantsai technique is similar to bisque porcelain ("totaitsi") of the Yongle period (1403-24), which was fired without glaze, painted, and then fired again. Before applying the enamel, an openwork filigree engraving is applied, which sets the texture and tone for the entire product. After firing, enamel is applied and drawing with enamel paints.
